Up until this point in time the best Hip Hop and Showdance Teams from all over Europe have been performing to ecstatic and thrilled audiences in a repeatedly sold out venue. The atmosphere has been ‘electric’ and second to none. To mark and celebrate the competition’s first mini-milestone ‘Finals 2017’ will be brought to you with an even more thunderous impact than ever before, while being an even bigger and more professional event. Already renowned for an outstandingly well-organized competition, the event promoter and organizer ‘German Dance Art’ will be turning up the heat and raising the bar of excellence even higher. As well as the 600 dancers on and behind the stage and the 1200 strong audience in the theatre an extremely experienced and internationally famous jury will be judging the teams. They will also be presenting their own individual performances. In store for the winning team will be prize money of 2017 EUROS. ‘Finals – International Dance Competition’ has become THE Event in the European Hip Hop and Showdance scene, boasting more than 480,000 views on You Tube. This has put GDA on the map and re-enforced its place in the media world. Finals 2017 is not just a championship, but much more a targeted destination for many dancers from all over Europe.
What is FINALS 2017
18 adult teams which will have travelled from various European countries, will perform on this day as part of the category ‘Pros’ a 4 to 6 minute dance routine according to their own choreography and choice of music. The five-strong jury, comprising of internationally renowned proven professionals in the world of dance will have the task of assessing and grading the performances. Eventually after all the judging and ceremonial festivities the winning and qualitatively best team will be allowed to present their ‘THE ONE FINAL PERFORMANCE’. The prize money is 2017 EUROs. As soon as the winning team has been determined there will be an award ceremony. The photograph from this ceremony of the presentation to the winning team will make up the cover of the flyer for the following year. Before the adult competition 8 junior groups will be able to compete and show the audience what they are made of. These junior dance teams will be contesting for the ‘Young Talents Award’. The prize money will be 500 EUROs.
The Competition Concept
The participating groups/teams will consist of a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 30 dancers. The minimum age for the juniors will be 7 years and for the category ‘Pros’ will be 15 years. The props, outfits and choice of music will be selected by the choreographers of each team in order to promote the creativeness of the performance and in no way restrict the flare factor. The entry registration fee is 15 EURO per dancer. The deadline date for registration is 31st January 2017.
How to participate
In order to qualify and be accepted for registration each team should send a video and a team biography to the web address firstname.lastname@example.org. Ultimately only the best teams will be competing on the stage in Hannover.
